LETTERS TO THE EDITOR

First lets read what Jim Coniglio has to say, then we will talk about a liberal loon.

Jim Coniglio rightly holds the Arizona Daily Star's liberal feet to the fire. He starts out with some cold hard facts..

"
The Star editorialized that Homeland Security Secretary Michael Chertoff is acting outside of the law by using two congressionally-authorized waivers to ensure that the congressionally-authorized border fence is completed on time. Unsurprisingly, Democratic Reps. Gabrielle Giffords and Raúl Grijalva also condemn the use of the waivers as outrageous and subverting 36 laws."

Bravo Jim. Yes that is exactly right  Arizona's liberal Democratic Reps. Gabrielle Giffords and Raúl Grijalva did not seem to comprehend your next point which sure make any one with a brain ask who can Democratic Reps. Gabrielle Giffords and Raúl Grijalva do their job if they can't or won't comprehend what Jim points out next.

"If following the law, as the Star suggests, is so important, then why discount the law that permits the waivers? And why say nothing about the laws broken every day by illegal immigrants?"

Oh boy, you up and did it now Jim.

Do Democratic Reps. Gabrielle Giffords, Raúl Grijalva and The Arizona Daily Star Editors want a rag to wipe that egg from your face?

Jim Coniglio is 100% correct on all counts.

But then we get a liberal who is so lame she can't see what Jim makes so obvious.

Sandra Heater a 67 or so -year-old Tucson realtor seems full of 'it" after reading Jim's letter.

"In another egregious usurpation of power, Homeland Security Secretary Michael Chertoff waived numerous laws and private-property safeguards to build miles of border wall without implementing appropriate studies. Congressional mandates, as well as the will of the people most affected on the U.S. side, have been abrogated.
The wall is a hugely expensive, ineffective approach to border security. We must let Congress know this is unacceptable policy and subverts Constitutional guarantees.
Sandra Heater"

Lets deal with each point.

Sandra says "In another egregious usurpation of power, Homeland Security Secretary Michael Chertoff waived numerous laws and private-property safeguards to build miles of border wall without implementing appropriate studies."

True as far as she goes, but you see Sandra left out the part where Homeland Security Secretary Michael Chertoff acted within the law as approved by Congress. Why would she do that?

Sandra goes on to say...

"Congressional mandates, as well as the will of the people most affected on the U.S. side, have been abrogated.""

Oh? If Congressional mandates were abrogated it was by Congress not Homeland Security Secretary Michael Chertoff like you say.

Sandra ends her letter with..

"The wall is a hugely expensive, ineffective approach to border security. We must let Congress know this is unacceptable policy and subverts Constitutional guarantees.
Sandra Heater"

How does Sandra judge what is "
hugely expensive"? Does Sandea consider the cost in American lives? It's common knowledge that illegal alien have killed more Americans than the war. How many Americans have been killed by the wall?

Oh and how can Sandra say a wall that is in most places a "fence" and is not yet built is "ineffective"? Once it's done we can see if it's "ineffective", of course Sandra declaring it's  "ineffective" before it's even  built is rather dishonest in my opinion.

Sandra ends with...

"We must let Congress know this is unacceptable policy and subverts Constitutional guarantees."

Really Sandra? What "Constitutional guarantees" does "this" subvert? You demand "we" let Congress know which policy is "unacceptable"? Remember Sandra Congress approved both policies.

Well Sandra it appears your bad luck that Jim Coniglio's 100% correct on all counts letter was printed right (pi) above your stupid letter Jim's letter shot full of holes.

I do thank you Sandra for exposing how the defective Liberal brain operates or
doesn't
as the case may be.
